On September 7, 2020, Labor Day and Beer Lover’s Day share the same calendar date! Kinda fitting don’t you think? After all, celebrating with an ice cold one is the norm for many on this American holiday.

Beer is the third most popular drink on earth, after water and tea. Also, it is the most popular alcoholic drink in the world.
The earliest evidence of beer making was found to date back to western Iran in 3,500 BC.
Interestingly, in ancient Mesopotamia, beer was associated with religion, ritual and believed to have magical powers.
In France, Germany, Portugal, and South Korea, you can order beer to go with your Big Mac at McDonalds.
As of 2017, California had by far the most breweries in the United States.
The strongest beer in the world is “Snake Venom,” brewed by Scottish brewery Brewmeister. It is 67.5% alcohol by volume (abv). For comparison, most vodka is 40% abv, with beers typically between 3% and 10% abv.
